I'm using my journal as a boring to-do list, so I can get focused on what I need to get finished and finish it already. It's the end of the semester and I'm very close ot being done with my classes. Now, I just need to attack my classes and see what I can get done. I also will do a list for my winter break as well, since there is no rest for an animation major. TAT
Before I go on to my list, I went to a wonderful festival the other day. It's Seattle's 2-D or not 2-D festival, put on by my professor, Tony White. It took place at the science center in Seattle (next to the space needle) and was amazing. I was only there for the last half, but OH MY GOD. We got to watch the movie, The Secret of Kells, an Irish film that was AMAZING. The designs were so beautiful, and so was the animation. You can check out the website here: www.thesecretofkells.com/ … creators were also there, and said that they started the movie in their last year in college in 1999, and it took them ten years to work through their ideas, get it into production and finish it. I was so inspired. This is why I'm an animator.
And on to my boring list:
This semester:
-Finish final animation (plus animation, make flame for candle, play with render settings, render)
-Finish production bible for next semester (re-work storyboards, add more art, go to kinkos and get it printed)
-Finish environment for next semester (Finalize textures, Matte Painting, Paint skydome, make textures less green O__o)
-Put work for Layouts class in the folder so I don't fail
Winter Break:
-Model and texture Gilroy cpatten.deviantart.com/art/Sch…
-Model and texture a golf ball and putter
-Work on paintings
-Figure out what I'm doing for senior year, plan a project with
-Get sleep schedule back on track!
