2015 Summary of Art

Whenever I do these things, it takes me a while to find work. You can tell when I got a full time job on this calendar pretty clearly, and I hope to do more art to remedy that.

January- Mostly did  character work for a game project? Kind of felt like shit when it came to my art, like I was in a hole that I can't get out of. Huge mental block.
February- Still pretty depressed and video games started to help? I don't know if help was a good word. I mostly know that I put too many hours into DA: Inquisition. This piece gave me some hope that I could get better.
March- Started to come out of a slump and using a lot of inspiration and reference. I'm still feeling like I have a mental block that keeps me from moving forward on my work.
April- My largest project sort of fell apart and I had no income. Kicked my butt into gear and started getting farther in my character paintings than I ever had. 
May- Kept working on my portfolio and posting it on social media. Got a job as a Marketing Artist during this time. 
June- Since a lot of my work is graphic design, I started doing illustrations after work to keep my chops up. This was for the blizzard art contest, which pushed me to try more dynamic poses.
July- Another more dynamic pose, really enjoying rendering small details. 
August- I don't even know where august went. Probably to Witcher 3.
September- Oh look! Wicher 3 fanart. I started working on a youtube channel to stream my art works. I still want to keep up with my channel. 
October- I participated in inktober but I didn't actually do 30 works. However, this got me into traditional media. I've been working with traditional media pretty much every day since to get away from a computer screen.
November- Started Digital Art classes at futurepoly and working a lot. So not much here other than sketches.
December- Lots of commissions, feeling pumped about next year!
