Finally after months of stress, lawyers, money and time...I'm finally moved in to my new apartment in Seattle. For those who don't know, my last apartment was found to be uninhabitable because of mold and making my roommates and I sick. We were able to break the lease, but it took about a month to find a place and get ready for our move.
I've been living with my parents for a month, commuting a very long way to work while having very intense deadlines for said work. (That being said I got up, spent forever in the car, went to work, spent forever in the car, and then went back to sleep.) I now have the freedom of time that I can get back to art (and that means finishing up the commissions that helped me through my awful moldpocalypse!)
Our new place is wonderful, we have lots of office space for art, and a great view of downtown seattle and the space needle from our porch. My cat loves it because of the amount of little birds that live in the trees near the apartment, and she also has tons of space to run and explore!

Hello! I'm Caitlyn and I guess this would be the area of DA where I put my bio for anyone interested!
I was born in 1989 and grew up in a military family. We moved around a lot, and I ended up growing up in places like Japan and Hawaii. While in Japan, I fell in love with japanese cartoons. My mother would buy me Sailor Moon dolls when we went off base, and I would copy drawings from books. When my dad retired and we settled down in washington state, I kept drawing every single day. Eventually I graduated from high school and attended DigiPen Institute of Technology studying Production Animation. While at DP I worked as a graphic design intern for an educational website, a curriculum developer and art instructor for DigiPen's Project Fun workshops, and an intern at a mobile game developer. I graduated DigiPen in 2011, and now work as a 2D artist for mobile games (for iOS). Some games I have worked on include Trade Nations [link] and Battle Nations. [link]
Outside of work, I like to learn new recipes, explore Seattle, read, and make comics. I currently live in Seattle with my cat, Mochi.

You're definitely the embodiment of everything I could hope to be, and are a wonderful example of proof that understanding is key in art, and through hat understandable, anything and everything can be gained in art given time and patience to learn.
